I love a good event… the fair was no exception. Although, with so much going on at our own store/ studio at the moment, I find lately, that I tend to search out hair and good shoes. Rarely do I buy clothing now a days.

Sometimes, however, you just HAVE TO HAVE IT! I waited until the initial buzz of the fair was over and done with… fighting through lag, noobs (slgawd bless them) and greyness drives me crackers and I have noooo patience for it.

Collabor88 1 year anniversary

I’m a great fan of Collabor88, mainly because time after time it keeps up its impeccable standards… but also because we <3 Drinkinstein Sorbet and her unique style.

But back to topic… this was unbelievably Collabor88′s 1 year anniversary and, admittedly, I [Liz] spent waaaay too much there… AGAIN… and I’m enjoying my purchases thoroughly

It was a veritable buffet of some of SL’s FAVE designers and I wasn’t the only Avie lining my inventory with low cost high quality goodies. I just have to work out when and where I’m going to wear them all.

I find as I grow older (more in RL) I’m growing more cynical… the things that amazed me as a noob don’t so much now, I find myself so often saying… I can make that, that could have been executed better… I’m not the only one right? I was so relieved, that today this, refreshingly, wasn’t the case.

Friday the 13th… and all is well

We’re sorry that RL bits and bobs meant a lack of posts of the last week [dont worry not ladders, umbrellas or black cats), but never fear glamazons, our Autumn collection is still on track and thousand of little elves are busy stitching away as we speak. In the mean time, so you don't get too lonely, we thought we'd make the most of the summer and share some fashionable SLOVE by releasing a few favourite items that we just cant seem to take off lately.

As the day after tomorrow (Sunday) will be challenge day (52 week colour challenge that is)  we thought we'd show you what we've been working on wearing lately.

The shirt shown is West coast - Persian Rose, made specially for Sundays colour challenge.  The shorts (belt cant be seen) will be following shortly #BadPunAlert.

Now we’re not usually ‘PINK’ people but I love this Barbie does the Beach boys thing that’s going on here…. just a pity we’re so water logged [waits patiently for summer to actually arrive]

TDR and Collabor88

We’ve been fans of the TDR and Collabor88 since they started (in previous lives of course). A member of our crew has, in the past, been fortunate enough to break through and contribute to a past TDR event… and was well received.

It’s not easy to (as a new designer)to join the not very long list of fashion favourites that tirelessly produce ‘must have’ after ‘must have’ that we just have to own…. But its hard to be glum with the immense organisation and incredible talent that goes into these events.

Like so many other fashion addicts I find myself waiting with baited breath for the notice telling me I may now join the stampede for discount goodies by our favourite content creators.

Today was no exception.

A lot of rain makes a lot of RUST

When the crew at L&J heard about Luna Jubilee’s 52 weeks of colour challenge we KNEW we just HAD TO join in! 

Soooo… as we’re UK based, and the so called British summer time has been all rain and no fun (I lie, we’re enjoying the mud pies), we thought starting on the colour RUST this week was rather apt. This is also one of our favourite colours for the up and coming Autumn.

Sunshine or bust

At L&J we haven’t let the miserable British ‘summer time’ to ruin our day. Great fun was had by all as we donned our wellies, grabbed our brollies and struck a pose or two in glorious Mayfair.

Isn’t it a fabulous location for a photo shoot? The L&J crew may not have been eager to jump in any muddy puddles but we did have a good nosey around and a good old poke about in the new Mon Tissu store…. my personal favourite, apart from the awesome clothing obviously, was the cute almost painted pillar upstairs and the adorable changing rooms #IWantOne… Oh and while I was there I added something new to my Christmas/ birthday list *hint hint* Mon Tissu Openwork wedges. They come in a wide variety of colours…. the only problem now being…. which one should I buy first?!!?!??!?

Have you noticed our ever so subtle nod to the 60′s/ 70′s. Just a quiet hint as to one of our style inspirations in the up and coming collection and a BIG trend alert for Autumn 2012.

We’re just loving those layers and the *FIR & MNA* The Ashford Brogues…. they’re one bit of footwear we wont be giving up this coming season.

Autumn Collection release

Welcome to Liz& Jim a store for Her&Him. Our aim is to make and blog fashion in Second Life and enjoy doing it. Simples. So [PHEW] now that the awkward first post is out the way let us begin…

Okay me lovelys… We are currently we’re setting up our mainstore, blogging, and getting the new collection going… But never fear… you can keep 110% up-to-date and in the know by either following this site or joining our inworld group.

This Autumn Collection plans to draw on old styles and re-imagine some of the most iconic shapes, textures and silhouettes. The pallette is rich, moody and highly patterned. We L-O-V-E all the textures, layers and materials coming in the colder seasons and cant wait to play with them.
